Booking process and payment.
-
Start by visiting our artist pages and listening to their performance videos. Our artists are carefully curated, each with a distinct sound and personality, so exploring should feel enjoyable rather than overwhelming.
We recommend taking your time, listening widely, and noticing what genuinely resonates with you. You do not need to know exactly what you want at the outset. That clarity usually comes naturally as you explore.
All of our bands are capable of getting a wide and varied audience up and dancing. Rather than booking based on what you think you should choose, we encourage you to stay true to your own tastes and pick the artist whose sound and songlist you connect with most.
If you feel unsure, we are always happy to talk things through and help guide you.

The process starts with an enquiry through our website, which our team will follow up within 24 hours.
From there, we will confirm availability for your date and discuss suitable options based on your event and preferences.
Once everything is agreed, we will secure the date with a deposit and move onto issuing the Booking Contract. We handle the coordination from that point onwards, keeping things clear and straightforward.
You can also view a full overview of the process on our How It Works page.
-
Public showcases of our full bands are rare, as many of our musicians are actively working with original artists, touring productions, and large festivals. These settings are not always representative of the band format you would be booking.
We do regularly attend The National Wedding Shows in Birmingham and London, where our acoustic acts often perform. These events can be a useful opportunity to hear vocalists live.
Most importantly, we put a great deal of care into ensuring our performance videos are accurate and honest representations of how our artists sound live. What you hear in our videos is what you can expect on the day.
-
When you make an enquiry, we immediately check availability and log the date internally if it is free.
Until a booking is confirmed with a deposit, the date remains available to other enquiries. We are always transparent about interest in a date and will keep you informed if there is any urgency to secure it.
If you are close to making a decision, we recommend letting us know so we can advise on the best next step.
-
Payments are most commonly made by bank transfer, though debit and credit card payments are also available.
A deposit is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your event.
You are welcome to pay the remaining balance:
In one payment
In instalments
At times that suit you
There is no additional card fee on deposit payments. Card payments towards the remaining balance are subject to a small processing fee.
Music, setlists & requests.
-
Yes. Shaping the music around your tastes is a key part of what we do.
During the lead-up to your event, we will talk through your preferences, favourite artists, and any songs that feel important to you. Requests are welcomed and are often incorporated into the setlist at no additional cost.
We see this as an enjoyable and collaborative part of the process, helping the music feel personal rather than generic.
-
Absolutely. Our artists are always happy to perform your first dance live.
This opens up the opportunity to create a bespoke arrangement that suits the moment perfectly. Whether you would like a shortened version, a gentler tempo, or a seamless blend of two songs, we encourage you to be creative and share your ideas.
-
The setlist is planned carefully in advance, shaped through conversation and collaboration to suit your event and your guests.
On the night itself, our artists are experienced at reading the room and may take requests where appropriate. That said, performances are generally guided by the agreed setlist to ensure flow, energy, and pacing are just right.
-
Our musicians are highly experienced in adapting to different spaces and audiences.
Volume is carefully managed to suit the room, the moment, and your preferences. We prioritise clarity, balance, and atmosphere rather than excessive loudness.
To help achieve this, our artists use modern stage setups, including in-ear monitoring, which allows them to perform confidently while keeping overall volume comfortable for you and your guests.
Performance, timing & logistics.
-
Our standard band bookings include two 50-minute live sets, usually spread across the evening.
For daytime musicians, bookings typically include up to two hours on site, often delivered as two shorter sets to suit the flow of the day.
If you are planning longer performances or have something specific in mind, this can usually be accommodated. We simply recommend mentioning this at enquiry stage so we can provide an accurate quote.
-
As a general guide:
3-piece band: around 3 × 3 metres
4-piece band: around 4 × 3 metres
5-piece band: around 5 × 3 metres
6-piece band: around 6 × 3 metres
7-piece and larger bands: around 7 × 4 metres
These measurements are flexible rather than fixed. Our musicians are experienced at adapting setups to suit both more intimate spaces and larger rooms, and we are always happy to advise if space is limited.
-
Arrival times are planned around the logistics of your event. For weddings, this means avoiding disruption to key moments such as speeches or dining.
For most 3- to 6-piece bands, we typically require around 60 minutes to set up. Larger bands or more complex events may need closer to 90-120 minutes.
We will always confirm timings in advance and coordinate with your venue where needed.
-
Yes. All of our artists arrive fully equipped with professional sound and lighting suitable for your event.
If you have a specific production style or enhanced setup in mind, we recommend discussing this in advance. Where appropriate, we can scale the setup or coordinate with an external production company to meet your requirements.
Venues, restrictions & requirements.
-
Quite possibly. Our musicians regularly perform at a wide range of venues across the UK, from well-known wedding locations to private and bespoke spaces.
Whether or not we have worked at your venue previously, we always arrive prepared. We take time to understand venue-specific arrangements, access, and any requirements in advance, so everything runs smoothly on the day.
-
Yes. Sound limiters and venue restrictions are increasingly common, and our musicians have extensive experience working within them.
This includes adapting setups, managing volume carefully, and, where required, using electric drum kits. If your venue has any sound-related restrictions, we simply ask that you let us know at least two weeks before your event so the musicians can arrive fully prepared.
-
Yes. JukeJam holds full Public Liability Insurance, and all relevant equipment is PAT tested.

-
Yes. Our artists are available for events across the UK and internationally.
All travel costs are included in your initial quote, so there are no unexpected charges added later.
Reassurance & peace of mind.
-
Yes. The musicians you see in our performance videos are all part of the JukeJam musician network and are actively involved in the bands you book.
We work with a carefully vetted network of over 60 professional musicians across the UK. This allows us to maintain consistent line-ups while also ensuring reliability if circumstances change.
Everyone in our network performs to the same high standards and is fully familiar with the arrangements, setlists, and expectations of each act.
-
In the rare event that a musician becomes unavailable due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will arrange a like-for-like replacement from within our network.
Any substitute musician will be fully briefed and prepared to deliver the performance to the same standard. Our priority is continuity and quality, without disruption to your event.
-
We understand that events rarely run exactly to schedule, and our musicians are used to adapting on the day where possible.
Ahead of your event, we will agree a performance schedule and curfew, which is confirmed in your booking contract. If timings shift slightly, we are happy to adjust within reason.
If, on the night, you would like to extend or significantly rearrange the performance beyond the agreed curfew, this is usually possible subject to availability. An extension fee of £250 per hour applies and will be invoiced after the event.
-
Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent and is outlined clearly in your Booking Contract.
In summary:
Cancellations within 5 days of signing the contract receive a full refund of the deposit
Cancellations after 5 days and up to 120 days before the event forfeit the deposit
Cancellations between 120 and 90 days before the event require payment of 50% of the remaining balance
Cancellations within 90 days of the event require payment of the full remaining balance
If you need to postpone your event, we ask that you notify us at least four weeks in advance. While availability for a new date cannot be guaranteed, we will always try to accommodate where possible and confirm any changes in writing.
